Professional Development Meetings
CONNECT. LEARN. GROW
Human resources professionals gather each month to network, exchange ideas, and strengthen their knowledge through meaningful professional development.
Central Utah SHRM is a member-driven chapter dedicated to supporting HR professionals throughout Utah County and the surrounding communities. Our mission is to provide opportunities for members to connect with peers, stay informed on current workplace trends, and develop the knowledge and skills needed to support their organizations effectively.
Our Professional Development Meetings (PDMs) are designed to address the broad and evolving responsibilities of today's HR professionals. Because human resources encompasses many areas of business, meeting topics are selected to provide timely, practical, and relevant education for professionals at every stage of their careers.
Topics may include:
- Employment law and legislative updates
- Recruiting, interviewing, and talent acquisition
- Employee engagement and retention
- Compensation and benefits
- Performance management
- Leadership development
- Workplace investigations and compliance
- Risk management
- Mental health and employee well-being
- Retirement planning and financial wellness
- Artificial intelligence and emerging HR technologies
- Diversity, inclusion, and belonging
- And many other topics affecting today's workplace
Whether you are new to human resources or a seasoned HR leader, our monthly meetings provide valuable insights, continuing education opportunities, and a chance to build lasting professional relationships.
